Round trip on Oahu

I rented a car to discover some new beaches and other nice locations. First I had to find a car renting which had a car on this day. I should’ve booked a car a day or two before to be sure to get a vehicle. But anyway, I’d found my car and started with my short trip.

Germaine’s Luau

Germaine’s Luau is a must see!! Beatiful beach just for the audience, without any other (public) people. A great meal with drinks and a awesome show with dancers, singers and sometimes even we had to go up to the stage to dance the luahu…. :-) *hihi* Continue reading →

Pearl Harbor

Pearl Harbor was very impressive! To see the U.S.S. Arizona on the ground of the sea. Just *wooow*. To see that in real and to think about the story, what happened there in 1941.

The Mission 2/8

On the last day which we had school we went with our teacher to the mission. One of the famous things in this part of the city are the painted walls called murals. These walls are showing the story about the poor mexican (latin) immigrants. There’re also other murals with other subjects which were painted frrom groups of young people. Sometimes these paintings aren’t really old and they are protected from the government as well.

(Thanks to Mark Knego for the guided tour and thanks to Denise for the photographs) Continue reading →

Twin Peaks

I was on the Twin Peaks last Sunday. It was my second time. First I went there by night (Limousine Tour *hrhr*) and now during the day. If you go there, you’ll find a wide, beautiful and clear view all over the city and the two bridges (BayBridge as well as Golden Gate). Absolutely fantastic!! Continue reading →

Limo Tour

Our FCE course was nearly over and we were invited for a Limo Tour as a goodbye party. It was really funny. We were driving through SF, over the bridge, Sausalito, Coyte Tower, Twin Peaks (during the night, and beautiful weather *wooow*)…

Just a cool thing to do when you’re here :)

FCE Exam is done :)

Finally, my exams are done. My speaking exam was on the last Wednesday (10th of march), and all other papers (in FCE you’ve got 5 papers) were on Saturday the 13th of march. Until now I’ve been having a relativly good feeling about my test ;) ….(maybe it’ll change a little bit….*gg* I hope not)

I felt well prepared and I think I should pass it…but you never know ;) My results are going to be published on the 30th of April. So I have to wait a little while until then…

So one…now I have 2 weeks for vacation *juuhui*.  :)

This first week I’ll hang around a little, do just some things around San Francisco and in the second week I’m going to Hawaii for 6 days…..sun, beach, relax,…..I’m looking forward to it! jeahh…!

My next course is starting on 29th of March. This will be the Advanced course (CAE) which is going until middle of June.
